Made from a highly figured black walnut live edge slab over 2" thick, this piece is a true example of timeless design. "Curl" in the wood gives a wavy and almost 3D effect. Jet black epoxy fills the large crack on one end, both to stabilize the crack and provide additional appeal. The final touch is 4 hand laid walnut bowties. While the epoxy is more than strong enough to stabilize the crack on its own, the bowties add artistic effect and a unique design feature. The modern metal legs comes with adjustable leveling feet, and is attached to the underside of the table with threaded inserts and furniture bolts. This allows the legs to be easily removed and reattached, without the possibility of ever stripping the mounting holes.
